- All set up and tear down must be completed during the time you have reserved. If you feel you need additional time to set up or tear down, please reserve an additional hour when you book.
- Outdoor/wet shoes, as well as track spikes and cleats are not permitted in the studio to protect the flooring. Please bring indoor shoes or slippers to wear in the studio. Models may wear outdoor shoes, provided they are dry and clean. Cleats and track spikes are not permitted to be worn in the studio at any time.
- Drugs are not permitted in the studio at any time.
- Pyrotechnics and open flames are strictly forbidden. This includes candles. If you require candles for your shoot, please email us at the time of booking and we can inform you of your options.
- We do not recommend bringing confetti or glitter to the studio, however if you choose to do so, it must be completely cleaned up when you leave, including from all cracks in the hardwood floor. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning fee.
- Absolutely no pornographic content is to be created in the studio. Boudoir photoshoots are allowed.
- Please do not stand on any furniture.
- We kindly ask that noise is kept to a reasonable level during your booking. We like our neighbours and want them to continue liking us as well!

Studio Access
You can access the studio from the front door of the building, which is located on Victoria St. North and labeled "55 Victoria". Entry instructions will be provided to you via email, no sooner than 24 hours prior to your booking.
Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your reservation. Door access codes will not be activated until 5 minutes prior to your reservation starting time.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi information will be sent with your welcome email 24 hours prior to your booking. All log-in information will also be posted in the studio.

Equipment Rental
After you have scheduled your booking, you will be sent a confirmation to the email address provided. It will include a receipt of payment, along with your booking confirmation.
You will be sent an email 24 hours before your reservation. This email will include all instructions needed to access the studio, along with the wi-fi information and a reminder of our Studio Rules. We kindly ask that you thoroughly read the studio rules before arriving, so that your reservation proceeds smoothly.

If you have accessibility needs, please let us know so we are able to provide you with the appropriate entry instructions for our accessible entrance.
If you have equipment that requires the service elevator, you must submit an access request via e-mail at least 48 hours before your reservation is scheduled to begin. Our service elevator is shared with the building and must be operated by a member of our team. Regular access to the studio requires walking up one (1) flight of stairs that is comprised of approximately 15 steps.

We kindly ask that no more than 20 people are within the studio at one time, both for the safety of the guests, and so as not to disturb the other tenants of the building.
If you require more than 20 people on set, please reach out to us at admin@sunsetstudiokw.com so we can advise you of your options.

We highly recommend that you use the parking spots located at the front of the building (on Victoria St. N). We also have 2 reserved (labelled "G") parking spots in the rear parking lot during working hours. We kindly request you only use those two spots, as the rest are reserved for other units in the building. Additional guests are welcome to use the 2 hour street parking on Duke St. or the Region of Waterloo lot, located across the road (beside the Rumpel Felt Co. building).
On evenings (after 5PM) and weekends (Saturday/Sunday), parking in the rear lot is open on a first come, first served basis, but must be shared with the art gallery and grocery store on the ground floor.
The Region of Waterloo lot on Victoria St. costs $2.40/hour or $12/day and can be paid for using a credit card or HONK mobile. HONK accepts credit card and other mobile payment services such as Apple Pay.
We kindly ask that you do not park in the Kauffman Lofts parking lot - this is a private lot, reserved for the people who live in these buildings.

With the exception of registered service animals, we are not permitting animals in the studio at this time. If you would like to ask for an exception, please reach out so we can discuss your options.
The expectation is that any animals in the studio are appropriately trained and that the studio will remain clean, and any mess or damage will be cleaned and/or repaired by the person booking the studio. Messes not cleaned up will be subject to a $200 cleaning fee.

When booking our studio, the person making the reservation must agree to return the studio to the condition it was in upon arrival.
- Garbage must be placed in the trashcans
- Furniture must be returned to it's original position
- Fridge must be emptied of any items you brought
- Floor must be free of debris
Failure to leave the studio in good condition will incur a cleaning fee of $200, invoiced to your email.
Renters also agree that any significant damage incurred will be paid for by the person making the reservation. This includes damage to the floor ($500 repair fee), and damage to furniture, props, backdrops, rolling walls ($200 repair/replacement fee per item damaged).
Please be aware, our studio has security cameras in the entrance hall, studio room, and kitchenette.

Every booking includes access to our studio space, including wifi, 2 in-suite restrooms, a kitchenette, as well as limited cleaning supplies (broom, mop etc.) to use as needed.
Additionally, all photography reservations include access to the following:
- 2 black C-Stands (on wheels)
- Set of wooden Apple Boxes (varying sizes)
- Use of all furniture found in the studio upon arrival
- Clothing Steamer & Rack with Hangers
- 2 8 ft x 8 ft walls on wheels (colours change seasonally)
- 10 ft backdrop stand
- 86" white seamless paper
- Bluetooth Speaker
- makeup mirror area
Folding tables, folding chairs, additional lighting equipment, and canvas/cloth or coloured seamless paper backdrops can be included in your booking at an additional cost.
